Farm First Crop Insurance, LLC was established in 2012 by Shane and Lisa Taylor.    We are family owned and operated with our office located in Essex, MO.  Our office includes 4 licensed agents: Shane Taylor, Matt Ritch, Blake Taylor and Lacey Ritch.  Over the last several years the business has grown over many regions and successfully served Arkansas, Missouri, and Illinois. 

Shane has an extensive background in Agriculture and his experiences include Grain Marketing, Management and Sales.  Shane attended the University of Tennessee Martin where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Agriculture.  His drive and dedication lies within the Crop Insurance business.  In his spare time Shane enjoys working at his cattle farm.

Lisa Taylor is Shane’s wife and has been a crucial element to the office.  Her responsibilities have included office management, payroll and accounting.  Upon her many duties at the office, she also enjoys her children and grandchildren. 

Lacey Ritch joined the agency in 2012 and received her license in 2015.  She helps to maintain order in the office and manages the processes and procedures.  Prior to Crop Insurance Lacey worked at several branches in banking, the knowledge gained has complemented her management skills. 

Blake Taylor joined the agency in 2016.  Before Crop Insurance Blake worked on his family farm in Arkansas.  Blake attended SEMO and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Plant and Soil Science.  Blake has a clear understanding of the type of risks are involved with farming operations. 

Matt Ritch joined the agency in 2019.  Matt grew up in Essex and has been around farming his whole life.  Before joining our team, Matt worked at Corteva-Pioneer in New Madrid as a Production Technician.  Matt attended SEMO and received a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology.  Matt is a wealth of knowledge and has proven to be an excellent agent.  

Brittany Chasteen joined our team in 2021.  Prior to Crop Insurance, she worked in the banking industry and has many years of experience.  Brittany's skills of processing and management have been a great asset to our office.  When away from the office Brittany enjoys spending time with family.
